Mail From: The Desk of Mr. Lin Chen Huang

Contact-Email: – [email protected] Definitely I know that this letter will be as a surprise to you, I will like to introduce myself officially as Mr. Lin Chen Huang, Manager Asset Management Department for the Guangdong Development Bank in China. I am getting in touch with you regarding the estate of a deceased client with similar last name and an investment placed under our banks management many years ago. I must first tender an apology for this unsolicited mail to you. I am conscious that this is certainly not a proper manner of approach to foster a relationship of trust but because of the circumstances and urgency surrounding this venture I decided to reach you via this medium to join me put claims on this fund before it is seized or confiscated by the authorities. I got your contact information through the public records while searching for a similar name to our late client Mr. Michel Vaughn a Germany citizen also a Business Magnate that lived in China for Nineteen years with his family. I would respectfully request that you keep the contents of this mail confidential and respect the integrity of the information you come by as a result of this mail. I contact you independently and no one is informed of this communication. In 2000 the subject matter; Mr. Michel Vaughn came to our bank to engage in business discussions with our private banking division. He informed us that he had a financial portfolio of $12.350 million (Twelve Million Three Hundred and Fifty Thousand United States dollars) which he wished to have us invest on his behalf. Based on my advice, we spun the money around various opportunities and made attractive margins for our first months of operation, the accrued profit and interest stood at this point at over $1.8 million United States Dollars. In mid 2002, he instructed that the principal sum ($12.350M) be liquidated because he needed to make an urgent investment requiring cash payments in Hong Kong. We got in touch with a specialist bank in Hong Kong the Dah Sing Bank (DSB) who agreed to receive this money for a fee and make cash available to our customer. However Dah Sing Bank got in touch with us early this year to inform us that the deposited fund has not been claimed. On further enquiries we found out that the depositor died with his family during the TSUNAMI in INDONESIA and BALI that occurred in December 2004, which means he died intestate. He has no next of kin and the reason I am writing you is because the Auditor General of Dah Sing Bank Hong Kong, the Board of Directors mandated me to present a member of the family (heir/inheritor) to make claims or the funds will be confiscated and taken to the Bureau as unclaimed. I was given an ultimatum to look for a relative to come for the claim or have the funds liquidated by the Hong Kong Government and made unserviceable in accordance with existing Hong Kong law in [ARTICULE 104B]. After my preliminary efforts of search for a direct family member which came to no avail, I decided to contact you since I have exclusive access to his file, I will like to present you as the beneficiary to this fund, I know you may not be anyway related to my late client but there is a possibility that the fund will be released to you . My bank will contact you informing you that money has been willed to you. On verification, which will be the details I make available to my bank, my bank will instruct DSB to make payments to you. You do not need to have known him. I know this might be a bit heavy for you but please trust me on this. For all your troubles I propose that we split the money in half. In the banking circle this happens every time. The other option is that the money will revert back to the state unclaimed. I guarantee that if you are willing and interested, I will put all in place in accordance with the Law to legally present you as the Next of Kin and true beneficiary. Nobody is getting hurt; this is a lifetime opportunity for us. I hold the KEY to these funds, and as a Chinese National we see so much cash and funds being re-assigned daily. I would want us to keep communication for now strictly by the above Email, Please, again, note I am a family man I have a wife and 3 children. I send you this mail not without a measure of fear as to the consequences, but I know within me that nothing ventured is nothing gained and that success and riches never come easy or on a platter of gold. This is the one truth I have learned from my private banking clients. Do not betray my confidence. If we can be of one accord, we should act swiftly on this. Please get back to me immediately via email address above and let me know if you intend to assist or not. If you also do not want to be involved kindly let me know so I will stop further communication with you. I await your response. Mr. Lin Chen Huang.
